We rented from there for the second time last week, it was a smooth experience and we didn't have any issues with the boat, which was their new 24ft Bayliner. Last time we rented the 23' Chaparral without issue. They were kind enough to bring an extra tube for us after the one he had blew a hole.
Our boat was wonderful. Had the time of our lives!
We reserved a Bayliner from Big Water Boat Storage and Rentals to tow behind our houseboat on a 7 day Lake Powell vacation. We launched the boat and an alarm immediately and persistently beeped as soon as we fired up the engine. Big Water sent a mechanic out to the launch ramp and we were told that the engine needed repair and they were uncertain when they could have the boat fixed. My last contact with them was on day 1 of our trip when they told me they had called around to find a replacement boat and were unsuccessful. I was told they rhought they might have a boat available for the last 4 days of our vacation and that they would call us. I never received another phone call, email, text or other communication from them. They never offered us any sort of compensation for the defective rental beyond refunding the amount of the rental. I understand we were taking some risk renting an older boat from an offsite rental agency but I was extremely disappointed at Big Water's lack of follow-up and communication.
The service here is impeccable. They are friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The facility is clean and well maintained. General maintenance and repairs are done onsite. I have stored my boat with them since 2008 and am always thankful I persisted in my search for boat storage until I found Big Water.
i have rented from big water 5 or 6 times everything from jet skis to boats and have had a great experience each time. they are friendly and helpful and often throw in a some extras toys etc. i will be renting from them again this year. renting a good boat from them costs less than paying taxes on your boat, and the gas money it costs to drive down from salt lake.
